i crossed the red river- tracing its path catching glimpses of its wide river bed as i went - arriving finally at a white village - lying under the cover of dust - instantly revealing purpose of place - as I walked the barley shoulder width, brick walled lanes - i came to see how the entirety of this place centers around the creation of pottery & has done for more generations than collective memory can recall -
