Frank Sinatra loved New York City. And the city loved him back, adopting his version of “New York, New York” as its unofficial anthem. “The Brooklyn Bridge,” “Autumn in New York” and “The Lady Is a Tramp” also used the city as a backdrop. It seems that Ol’ Blue Eyes, who was born 100 years ago this week in Hoboken, N.J., was smitten. #Sinatra fans can take a self-guided walking tour by his birthplace (which has since burned down), or visit an exhibition called “Frank Sinatra: The Man, the Voice, and the Fans,” which is at the Hoboken Historical Museum through July 3. This photo comes from our newsroom #archives. The @ニューヨーク・タイムズ staff photographer William Sauro captured the crooner in 1967 at a rally in @madisonsquaregarden. #?
