Hundreds of protesters blocked the streets of #Chicago’s main shopping district, The Loop, today, after #MayorRahmEmanuel apologized for the 2014 police shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald. Similar protests have erupted since Chicago officials released dashboard camera footage of McDonald, who is black, being gunned down as he walked away from a column of police officers. Emanuel promised "complete and total" reform to restore the public’s trust.
