Well, seems like just about everyone on social media is getting a puppy, so we decided to get this 100 year old tortoise because it's more fitting to our travel lifestyle. Just kidding. Actually, this guy belongs to our friends Stef and Willie, who took him in when Chika, one of the farm workers, saved him from being eaten by another group of workers. Now he roams in an oasis of grass and makes a daily voyage to the backyard date tree for a snack. His age is unknown, and as the Internet says "it is nearly impossible to know the age of a tortoise unless you know its birthday". Young or old, looks like he scored the jackpot, even if he does only have 3.5 legs.
