Monthly Hashtag Project: #MHPlocalbeats

The goal of this month’s hashtag project was to make photos of your local music scene, inspired by rapper and #MHPfanclub guest curator Jay Prince (@loungeinparis). Today, we’re featuring some of our favorite submissions, like this photo from photographer Olivia Van Rye (@oliviavanrye) taken at Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut. “JP, from Cash Cash, jumped down near the barriers and told me to come over — at that moment I knew something great was going to happen,” says Olivia. “What makes this photo special is the sheer enjoyment on his face, and the crowd’s reaction as well. I love it when I’m able to capture emotions.”
