"This was my first #MarilynManson show so I didn’t know what to expect. Even though we were only given the first song to photograph, I came away with about as many usable shots as I would normally get for the usual three-song limit. I think this speaks volumes to his showmanship: in under five minutes or so he had covered the entire stage a couple times over with various lighting setups. He kept this pace throughout the set. This might not seem unusual for a newer, younger act, but this guy has been playing shows for over two decades, with nine studio albums to his name. Incredible. What struck me most, though, was the affection he and his fans have for one another. You can say that of a lot of bands, but as I watched him embrace the entire first few rows at the end of his set, with sweat pouring and make-up dripping, the smiles on both sides of the barricade were ear to ear.
