A few months ago I did not think that I would be holding a medal and booking my ticket to Nationals again. This has been the toughest season and year and to be standing in this position means so much to me. After injuries, the passing of my grandmother, having 3 of my pets pass away, anxiety, and feeling lost with who I was and what I wanted to do, I was feeling uncertain of where I would end up. Skating is so much more to me than just a sport it's my happy place, a place I can devote every inch of myself to and be Ashley. And after months of doubt I managed to find myself and set goals for myself. My goal was to make it back to Nationals and prove to myself that I am capable of doing that. And I did it! I am now injury free and doubt free and am ready to fight at Nationals. I want to say thank you so much to everyone who has been around me this season and saw me struggle but never gave up on me and kept believing in me. You allowed me to see that I am strong enough to do this. A special thank you to my coaches and parents Darlene and Peter Cain, Scott Brown, Brenden Cain, Evelyn Kramer, Denyse Frey, Jeremy Abbott, Alexey Krasnozhon, Dalton Gribble, Pierre Panayi, and all of my training mates. I love you all so much and am grateful to share this experience with you. Also thank you to Adam Rippon and Douglas Razzano for your inspiring words and support when I needed it. Next stop, St. Paul, Minnesota! Never give up❤️
