On Kangaroo Island one evening we went looking for Kangaroos (imagine that!) at sunset. I found this instead, final light of the day on Edward's Cottage, an old sheep station. This remote cabin holds the story of a young mother, Lucy Edwards, widowed and left to raise her son in the company of sheep and Kangaroos. When the son turned 18, true love led him away from the island and out of his mother's good graces. Upon her death the land was donated to the Kangaroo Island National Parks and Wildlife trust.
