What does authenticity mean to you?
True authenticity means that the origin of a product (or artwork, etc.) is genuine and the origin is not disputed. In our world that means that the design and production of the item is attributable to the designer. In the world of design this is so critical. Designers pour heart and soul into their work and often find that others imitate or fully 'replicate' their designs in order to quickly cash-in on hard work. This is unfortunate and takes value from all of the research, effort, and perhaps even the joy is removed from the product.
