This past summer @adrianballinger and I took my dad @timnharrington up the Third Pillar of Dana in the High Sierra. It was a pretty remarkable feat for him, and for us as well, to see him fight through 800 feet of steep, physical, and awkward granite climbing, at 13,000 feet no less. Adrian captured this photo of him and I on the iconic summit after topping out during certainly some of both of our "finest hours." It reminded me that accomplishment and heroism come in all forms, from personally overcoming something great to helping others achieve something great, and even heroic acts in the face of danger or adversity. @Walt Disney Studios just released the trailer for their new film #TheFinestHours and it’s worth checking out if stories of human struggle and prevailing against the odds inspire you.
