its warm enough to have the windows open here in bologna and as I prepare lunch in our dreamy @Airbnb kitchen noise from the markets below is pleasantly keeping me company - i enjoyed visiting the many fruit and veg stalls early this morning, overflowing with all manner of things, me stammering through little bits of italian, seeing and sampling ingredients that i've not come across before - my favorite, sorbolo, a little like a date, a little like an apple and tasting nearly of brandy - the people here are generous and only happy enough to talk to me about food
