Exactly a year ago today, right around this exact time, we lost our beautiful tuxedo Mojo suddenly and completely unexpectedly.
This post is to share a very important article we came across to spread awareness of the importance of knowing your cat's behavior and not hesitating to get them to a vet and yearly checkup.
Having dealt directly with 2 of the 5 common cat illnesses in the article (link in bio) within a 13 month period, I cannot stress this enough! It wouldn't have changed anything in Mojo's case by the time he displayed symptoms but catching Venus acting strange and getting her emergency treatment saved her life. She too went from seeming fine in the morning to suddenly limp & lethargic laying in one of the litter boxes. She overcame a UTI & complete urinary blockage (which took a while to completely heal from & rarely happens in females) which is one of the illnesses mentioned.
Mojo crossed the rainbow bridge due to one of the other conditions mentioned which is HCM (cardiomyopathy). Please take a moment & become familiar with the symptoms of these silent killers. The more aware you are, the better chance your pet will have of not having to face critical condition or death.
The pain I had to watch 2 of my 3 cats go through is something I hope I can save you and your pets from by sharing knowledge like this. Thanks again for all of the kind words on Mojo's posts last year. It meant a lot to us.
