Frank Lloyd Wright inspected the construction of the @グッゲンハイム美術館 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Sam Falk, a @ニューヨーク・タイムズ photographer, took this photo just over two years before the museum opened to the public. The @ニューヨーク・タイムズ critic who wrote about the opening could not conceal his feelings: “The Solomon R. #Guggenheim Museum … is a war between architecture and painting in which both came out badly maimed,” he wrote. He went on to say, “Unfortunately the pictures disfigure the building and the building disfigures the pictures.” #FrankLloydWright
