“What is the purpose of an object or a structure in the middle of an empty room? How does my body relate to the element?” These are some of the questions that #GuggUBSMAP artist Gabriel Sierra poses to the viewer when they experience his work.

For his first solo exhibition in NYC, Sierra has restructured the lower level galleries of Sculpture Center, effacing and confusing distinctions between the architecture, the institution, and the works that comprise the exhibition. Experience Sierra’s site-specific installation on view now @SculptureCenter through January 6.
