"Many times during high school, music taste tends to develop more strongly and frequently makes a long stop in the classic rock genre. That was definitely the case for me. During this time, Foreigner was one of the bands that I gravitated to. I just loved their sound and have continued to enjoy them ever since. I honestly had no idea what to expect from their live show when I photographed them opening for Kid Rock at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on August 30. From the second they hit the stage, they had the crowd enthralled. Led by frontman, Kelly Hansen, it was non-stop energy until their closing and trademark song "Jukebox Hero," as Kelly ascended over the crowd on a platform to a massive singalong and the glow of many cell phones as he threw his arms up in the air. This proved a powerful ending to an amazing set packed with hits. It's always great to see a band put that little something extra into a show to make it memorable for their fans."
