In 2013 I was invited to China to do a film for @ナショナルジオグラフィック with photo legend and one of my heros @carstenpeter on a story about Karst formations. It was an unforgettable experience. The objectives was primarily documenting my close friends @cedarwright @エミリー・ハリントン @mattsegal climbing on the unique karst formations of southern China. We also had sweet aerial support from friends @bradleyhenning and @chadcopeland taking care of business. It was in the autumn which is typical harvest time in the northern hemisphere and watching the locals harvest corn and rice in spectacular valleys like this was a novel experience for me. I shot this photo one morning while hiking in of this rice farmer taking a brief break in the #getuvalley before the rays of sunshine hit us. Loved the kindness and hard work ethic of the locals, a place and time I'll always remember. Huge thank you to @MattSegal for producing the logistics on this shoot, you're the man! @natgeocreative
