Once again the U.S. was tapped to host Mexico to kickoff final round qualifying, also known as “the Hex”, and it was back to the friendly confines. By now the legend of “Dos a Cero” had quite a few chapters. A scrappy goal from Michael Bradley just before half put El Tri on edge, but the result still hung in the balance when Rafael Marquez committed a horrific and useless challenge on Tim Howard in the 65th minute that got the Mexican captain sent off for the second time in official competition against the United States (he got a red card for a nasty head to head challenge on Cobi Jones in the 2002 World Cup). With the crowd chanting for a second goal, Bradley delivered a wicked drive moments before the final whistle and it was déjà vu all over again. #DosACero #USAvMEX
