A nun held a rosary outside the @The White House early this morning, where thousands arrived hours before #PopeFrancis was scheduled to speak. In his speech at the White House, the pope (@newsva) spoke — slowly — in English as he reminded Congress of its duty to guide America “in fidelity to its founding principles.” His greatest emphasis was on fighting global warming, an effort he linked to justice for the poor. On Thursday morning, the pope will address a joint meeting of Congress. Later in the day, he heads to New York.
