#ThoughtsOnTheFitnessIndustry - I started my journey 4 years ago in the fitness industry as a bikini competitor, competing in more than 30+ shows and also being well known on the social media platform, I have experienced and have probably seen more than most in this industry. - This past weekend I sat out of competing and a few well known athletes had done the same thing this year. There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes in the world of competing than meets the eye, but most of the time it is very obvious what happens. - There has been new talk of different organizations being established and with one of the biggest names in the industry not competing has brought about some serious gossip and talk. - People have asked me if I will still compete because of the success I have already aside from competing. My answer is always YES. From the gate I never wanted to kiss ass or be apart of what everyone else was doing. Meaning trying to side with a political party or be with a certain “team” to get me somewhere fast. Instead I've competed for the love of the sport and success came my way because of my TRUE passion for it. - Too many new people are coming into the competition world with the intention to make a name for themselves or signing and joining teams because they think it will get them somewhere fast. - I have stayed true to myself from day one. I am not managed by anyone and I coach myself. I also do not take any anabolic steroids and I am surgery free. I stand by this to set an example to the younger generation to remember that no matter what, stay true to yourself! Even if you are going up against ALL THE ODDS. - This industry is supposed to be about health and helping one another. It is not supposed to be about greed, drugs and plastic surgery. On many levels there is so much positivity but on a lot of other levels there is so much negativity that goes on that no one openly talks about. - No matter what, being an athlete or fitness icon or someone just starting out, we have to set the example of staying positive and REAL. There is enough SUCCESS to go around for everyone! - What are yalls thoughts?
