#HurricaneRita reached peak winds 10 years ago today, one month after #HurricaneKatrina in 2005 and hit the U.S. coasts of Louisiana and Texas. It was the 4th most intense hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic and the 9th costliest to affect the U.S. The hurricane resulted in 90 tornadoes and triggered the largest evacuation in U.S. history.
