In this contest, the judge, @danwestergren was looking for shots that showed primarily how interesting light could lead to a great picture. This mysterious shot of a diver kept coming back to mind. There is more than just great lighting going on here. By choosing to shoot from a backlit position the photographer highlighted mixing colors of water from two different sources. The tannin colored water of the Santa Fe river and the clear spring water in Florida's Devil's Ear Spring combine with light rays penetrating the surface to create a scene that is truly magical.
