A barley field at sunrise, just outside Alsfeld, the small German town where I was born. Germany is the among the top producers of barley worldwide, which is not surprising since most of the barley is used to make beer. I've just returned to Alsfeld following Visa Pour l'Image, where my "Nuclear Tourism" work was exhibited this year, and will be leaving again soon for the Alfred Fried Award Ceremony in Vienna, and to shoot for the German edition of National Geographic Magazine.
