7.32am gym time. i am tired.. but not sleepy. I am tired of all the folks who have told me I can't gain muscle, that I'm not a "real man," that I'll never reach my dreams. I'm also tired of hearing others say they want to get fit or feel better, but continue in the same routine, one that cycles misery and brings others down with them by constantly saying "I can't change" or "it won't make a difference." do I like waking up early to lift weights? is it easy?

not at all. it hurts. but this kind of hurt leaves me feeling stronger after, never miserable. motivation is waiting for that "good feeling" that sends you to the gym when you feel like it. discipline is knowing that I must move forward and feel the satisfaction after, not before. I won't see my muscles grow today but I know that i will feel the difference and my body rewards itself with the high that comes with putting in the hard work.
