For residents of Israel and Gaza, routine paths are full of reminders of last summer’s war. The photographer Tomas Munita captured thousands of images for the immersive series, “Walking in War’s Path.” Among those he photographed is Adi Freibach, 43, who lives in Nahal Oz, a kibbutz in #Israel less than a mile from Gaza. Her 2-year-old daughter Aviv plays in one of two fortified kindergartens built in the past year. At the end of this video, you’ll see the first of two bomb shelters Adi and Aviv pass on their way home. Residents have just seconds to take cover from incoming mortar shells. “Without us, Israel loses its borders,” Adi said. “The desire to stay here, at least for me, is stronger than the fear.” [2/2]
