Went up to try a classic RMNP test piece with @arjandekock and @ペイジー・クラッセン called Sarchasm (14a).This route was established by @トミー・コールドウェル back in the day and has an alpine feel, being at 11,823 ft in elevation. The style is technical arête climbing. Part of the difficulty is just figuring out how to grab the crystals on the arête and make them into holds. There is a lot of smearing with the feet, leaning to the left of the arête then switching to the right side. Every move feels insecure for about 80 feet. I worked out the moves, but am going to have to practice a bit more before I can feel comfortable and climb it how it is supposed to be climbed. Fun to switch things up and learn a different style.
