Happy International Orangutan Day! The first orangutans we encountered on this visit were the female Beth with her five year old son Benny, here sharing a tender moment. This female has been part of my wife Cheryl Knott’s long-term research here at Gunung Palung since 1994. To see a photo of Beth with her first baby taken in 1995, go to @Tim Laman.
