On the Serengeti plains. I have no right to such a moment in my life. I have not sweat and toiled in the African sun, waiting endless hour, or day, or months, or years as some have. I have not made it my life mission to see the Great Cats of the world. No, mine was a simple gift, given like a blessing. First we saw nothing and then there he was. For him it was an ordinary moment, stretching after a nap, surveying the shimmering heat for prey. Just another day for him, but for me… incredible. How can such a thing exist? Shall we cherish and preserve such moments, or let them pass? I know my own answer very well.
