We saw these cubs with two female lions on the first evening game drive we took at the Ngala Reserve. The cubs looked a bit scraggly and our ranger told us that he had seen the females on four unsuccessful hunts over the past several days. We caught up with the pride the next morning and they still had not had a meal. As we followed them through the bush, a duiker ran directly into the path of the pride. You can't even see the duiker under this pile of hungry lions. One of the cubs came up for air and looked around a bit, but was soon back eating with his siblings.
