In the summer of 1992, artist #DanFlavin married painter Tracy Harris inside the Guggenheim and dedicated the site-specific installation in our Frank Lloyd Wright rotunda "to Tracy, to celebrate the love of a lifetime." Part of his 1992 exhibition at the museum, the work featured a column rising from the rotunda floor in a celebratory manner, suffusing the space with a warm pink glow. For Flavin, "to Tracy" may have also symbolized a final collaboration with architect #FrankLloydWright, whose plans Flavin used to receive and deliver to the museum director when he was a mail clerk at the Guggenheim. #FrankLloydWrightFridays #FBF ?
