Fewer than 2,000 Dragons were made by Kaiser, a mostly-forgotten manufacturer of passenger cars from 1947 to 1955. This one is a 1953 model, made in the same year that its owner was born. Dr. John Gohmann, 62, an oncologist from Lexington, Ky., bought it at auction earlier this year. "It’s almost outrageously 1950s-ish, and unbelievably slow, which is just fine with me," he says. "It turns my commute into a marvelous window of serenity."
