Belgium still don't know what it feels like to lose at the 2015 #FIBAU19 Women's World Championship after being confirmed as one of Friday's Quarter-Finalists. The debutantes were one of the teams who stepped into the Last Eight after they secured a 70-37 win against Korea who were hamstrung by the absence of star center, Ji Su park. Julie Allemand was pulling the strings as usual with 11 points, six assists and four steals and that was important in fixing up a date with Spain. The Spaniards had to work hard to see off Netherlands and pick up a 73-68 victory, with Laia Flores and Angela Salvadores sharing a combined 36 points. Australia tore past Mali, 91-23 as Alicia Froling was a perfect 7 of 7 from the floor on her way to 19 points. The Gems will have a Quarter-Final match-up with China who had little difficulty in seeing off Chinese Taipei, 89-63. Marylie Limousin found her range in overtime as she sunk three three-pointers in succession to hand France a 76-63 win against Brazil - although Louise Dambach was the main architect with a typically eye-catching 27 points. The French will now face Russia in the Quarter-Finals after the host nation racked up another big win by cruising their way to a 94-37 victory against Egypt. Maria Vadeeva continued her rich vein of form and racked up an incredible double-double of 23 points and 21 rebounds, while frontcourt partner Raisa Musina added 10 points and 17 boards. USA captain A'ja Wilson was on-song for the reigning champions with 18 points in a one-sided 89-39 win against Argentina which set up a meeting with another Americas rival in the Quarter-Finals, in the shape of Canada. However, Rich Chambers and his team almost found themselves in the Classification Round. The Canadians were trailing Serbia by seven points in the final quarter before they initiated what proved to be a game-winning 17-2 burst to ride out 58-52 victors. Bridget Carleton harvested 24 points and eight boards, while Lauren Yearwood managed to farm a fantastic 16 rebounds.
