Nearly poached to extinction, the Black Rhino is making a slow but steady comeback in Botswana. To date, there are only 38. Hard to spot in the wild due to their extreme scarcity, it was a privilege beyond words to share some space with this male. While setting camera traps he approached us quietly from across the pan where we were working near. Because Rhinos can be temperamental at times, we slowly walked back to our rig to give him space and time to drink. The habitat of the delta, it's water and sand, are all fed by water from the Angolan highlands. We've been on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック with @intotheokavango for nearly ten weeks documenting this extremely complex and tenuous ecosystem going source to sand over 1,000 miles.
