@chien_chi_chang A Bangkok Hotel, 2007. “I am so sorry, sir, but we have no reservation in that name.” I stood there as the woman behind the desk at the Tune Hotel in Manila checked, and then politely double-checked for my reservation. I showed her my itinerary: sure enough, it showed a booking at the Tune Hotel. “Ah,” she said. “I see. Your reservation is for Tune Hotel Ermita. This is the Tune Hotel Makita.” The other Tune Hotel proved to be about an hour away, and I was dead tired, so I took a room at this one for the night. I soon guessed that much of the clientele booked by the hour—Magnum Photos had booked me in a love hotel, again!
