Kitty tree play time! That's Roo meowing in the background (yes he can climb it) and you'll see Jack scratching the scratch post. No de-clawing needed if you provide areas for scratching. Roo takes care of his own claws between using the biodegradable cardboard scratch mountain and cube sent to us by @mykittykan (he is skittish about being picked up or having anything held due to his past abuse) and I trim Venus's claws myself along with Jack's. Takes less than 5 minutes per cat. They don't resist me at all. Ginger was front de-clawed when she was spayed after adoption but that was 9 years ago before we were educated on the facts.
