“Shootout” at Sioux City, an amusement park in the Canary Islands. The photographer @mapledipped visited in May 2009 to take photos for #EUSA, her series documenting Europeans who celebrate “Americanness” and Americans who celebrate “Europeanness.” Sioux City was once used to shoot spaghetti western films. Today, it’s a Wild West-style town with shows and rides. We’re sharing photos from @mapledipped’s #EUSA project for our #4thofjuly edition of #nytweekender.
