"I was backstage at the Fader Fort during #SXSW to shoot a portrait of #Stromae before he went on stage. We had about five minutes to shoot and it was my first time meeting him and seeing him perform. I had recently heard of him and seen a few of his epic music videos, so I was really excited to see his live show. I scouted a couple of locations on site where we could shoot, but we just started taking photos in front of the white tents to get warmed up. We got some really creative images that day, but this simple portrait was one of the first frames I took. The expression on his face captures a more serious side of his dynamic and fun personality. Since that day, I have photographed him three times: He is such an amazing performer and one of my favorite artists to work with." As told to @Rolling Stone photographer @kouryangelo
