“Tupac was first signed to TNT Records with Atron Gregory. Atron couldn’t get him a deal at first, so he called me and asked, ‘Can you do something with Tupac? Cause I’m about to lose him.’ I was thinking we didn’t need any more rappers, and we only got so many laminates. Some of the dancers and the roadies were interchangeable, so we switched him up with Money B’s brother. We told him that if he came, he’d have to carry the same responsibilities that Money’s brother was handling, I told him that he’d have to carry equipment, and learn the Humpty Dance. He said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it. Anything. That’s hot. I’ll do anything to get out of here.” -Shock G
