I had been up all night in
#santafenewmexico with food poisoning. I wanted to call in sick but it was Mary Ellen Mark, my all time favorite photographer, who was going to shoot us for our movie, #truegrit .We shared a deep passion for photography and became fast friends. Last time I saw her was as I was biking up the boardwalk on #venicebeach: a kiss, talk about #oaxaca, wave goodbye. You were one of a kind, Mary. Thank you for your friendship and your uniquely compassionate photographs. I'm honored to have known you.
