This is my dad. My dad was a metals technician in the U.S Air Force. He fixed anything they sent him, mostly airplane parts. He served 20 plus years and his rank when he retired was MSGT. Because of him I was able to see the world. I thought it was a curse when I was younger. All the traveling, never having a hometown and leaving friends as I just became close with them. What I learned as I got older was that it was only preparing me for life. I think I have a unique perspective on life because of the places I've lived. I grew up in England, Germany, California, South Carolina, and Oklahoma so as a kid I learned that people all over America and the world are different. Not better or worse but different. I appreciate those differences. If any of you get a chance to travel or take your children to another country please do. They'll thank you for it when they get older. So today on Memorial Day I thank my dad for serving in the USAF and for taking his kids with him. Thanks dad. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!! And not only God bless America. GOD BLESS THE WORLD
