The Little White Salmon river in Washington State has to have the coolest blue tones I've ever witnessed. Here @eboomer pops out after dropping Spirit Falls on one of the most classic portions of the river. •

A little camera beta for those interested... Because there was no sun in the river bottom the landscape felt pretty flat in camera, but in person it was rich with tonality, shape and texture. To fix this I placed a single off camera strobe on the rim of the canyon and pointed it back at the camera. Then I climbed down to river level to shoot. My goal was to create my own light and dark areas to bring the canyon to life and because the scene is backlit the spray and texture really pop. #techtiptuesday #betterlatethannever #camp4pix
