Happy Mother's Day mom! This is Carole Franti. She adopted me when I was a baby even after she had three children of her own and then adopted my brother Matt a few years later. She worked as a teacher in the public school system in Davis teaching hundreds of kids to read write and be kind to others. As you can see I'm 6'6" and she's about 5'1" but she has the heart of a lion and taught me that through working hard and never giving up, I could achieve anything I set my mind to. She says her goal as a parent was "to give all of us kids wings". She did. I am forever grateful for the opportunities she gave me when stepping into my life at a time when circumstances required another mother to be there and from that day she has loved me as her own and shown everyone in her sphere that love knows no boundaries of color, gender, religion, nationality or sexual identity. She has been a champion of this ideal long before I was. I'm proud of you mom and grateful for the gifts that you raising me bring to my life each day!!! #HappyMothersDay
