I'm so frustrated this morning. So we all have seen the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag around the net, on the news- everywhere. And for those of you that may not know- hundreds of Nigerian School Girls were kidnapped by the vicious terrorist group Boko Harem with little hope of them coming back home alive. FYI Thousands of Nigerians have been abducted by this group over the past few years and countless people murdered. Well recently many of the girls were in fact rescued- did you know that? Where is the press conference? Where was the mainstream wide coverage? Where dammit? Yet we get a whole hour special about Bruce Jenner making a personal decision about his own life- but NOTHING substantial press-wise about these young girls- and this is no shade to Bruce- just making a point that we pick and chose what to put the spotlight on- and sometimes I think we need a reset on what SHOULD be deemed newsworthy. I'm pissed at the lack of attention this story is getting- oh on top of all the suffering these girls endured--- of the 234 girls recently rescued--- 214 are pregnant via rape by these wild animals. This is terrible! 214 teenage girls were repeatedly raped and impregnated and it's not breaking news??? Boy I tell ya! But we'll cover the hell outta some stupid celebrity beef or spend days talking bout folks clothes or a shady tweet- but this--- gets nothing. ?? well my prayers and thoughts are with these young teenagers who were robbed of their innocence thru no fault of their own and it just breaks my heart. We gotta do better....
