12/100: trying new things :: a new PERSPECTIVE. My son picked off the blooms of the flowers I recently planted to make me a "pretty garden." He did this when he thought I wasn't looking because he wanted to surprise me. He spent a good fifteen minutes (which might as well be fifteen hours in a four year old's world) to thoughtfully arrange the blooms and petals. I was not upset at the pruned flowers even though it may mean another trip to the local garden nursery. I was so undone by the magical memory that he created for me out of his own whim. I don't see it as a loss of flowers because now I have a whole new garden made with the petals and blooms of my son's very heart. I feel like the richest woman ever.
