@オードリー・ゲルマン just sent this pixelated throwback to my first office, on lower Broadway with Sara. It was 150 square feet, smelled like plaster and sawdust and less nostalgic smells too. Froze all winter then our AC broke in August. @booger_nose upstairs. @skipmccoy downstairs, and he built us the loft bed and when I asked him to carve in a message he wrote "my love is bigger than a Cadillac" on the ladder and we swooned. @relsonmandela @hurricanejoost across the street. Boys coming in at 4am on "business." Girls coming in at 7am when they'd fought with their parents. Work was what got done in the time between sticking magazine clippings to spare surfaces and trying to kiss weirdos. I saved up for that dress then gave it away because it chafed me. It was all better than it felt at the time. Every square foot.
