@minniedingle wrote, "Hi there! I wanted to report a rescue that is a result of a post on your site just over a week ago. Rocky has found his home! After you posted an image of Rocky at Big Sky Ranch Sanctuary in Canada, my husband @johnwgordon drove 5 hours to meet him. Upon arrival, he was introduced to Rocky, an 8 year old German Shepherd. He was clearly a smart, gentle, laid back dog so John brought him home. He got home at midnight. I, in the meantime, had gotten advice from [a trainer] who suggested I meet them outside with our existing rescue Shepherd mix, Loma. He felt that it would be best if they met outside so the home would be a more neutral area. When John and Rocky arrived, we all walked down our long driveway together with our dogs on training leashes. Eventually, we walked closer together as they absorbed each other's scents. When we came together they checked each other out very respectfully and so we moved into the house. They have been together ever since roaming our 30 acres looking for ground hogs. We also have two Chihuahuas and everyone is getting along well. Rocky the rescue Shepherd is adjusting well to the country life!"
