“I love babies and children, and I’m so happy to be able to help my people.” Meet Janda, a 24-year-old Syrian refugee who selflessly volunteers her time to helping mothers and babies at a refugee camp in Iraq. Janda was enrolled in nursing school when her family fled the conflict. “I miss my friends and life in Syria, and I worry about them, but I hope things will get better soon and I can go back to finishing my nursing degree,” she says. © UNICEF Iraq/2015/Jeffrey Bates
