Who says you need warm weather to kayak? "In-between storms, we decided to head to Silver Lake in Carson Pass, C, for a paddle. Winter's my favorite time to kayak Northern NV/CA, because we so often have the whole lake (even Tahoe) completely to ourselves. As we paddled out last Sunday, we had to actually break through ice on top of the water, to make it to the main part of the lake — that was a new one for us!
