The first harvest. It really makes you appreciate the earth, but also makes you think about how much we consume as human beings- or how much we think we need to consume. The soil, the process of cleaning, pulling, replanting...it's a lot. All for a few carrots/tomatoes/beets. Worth it? Absolutely-but quite humbling.
