Hari Ini Sepuluh Tahun Yang Lalu (HISTAL).. Pada tanggal 8 April 2005, Presiden SBY melakukan kunjungan kenegaraan ke Timor Leste, yang disambut hangat oleh Presiden Republik Timor Leste, Xanana Gusmao dan PM Marie Alkatiri dan Menlu Timor Leste Jose Ramos Horta untuk membahas hubungan bilateral antar kedua negara. Kunjungan ini menjadi istimewa karena saat itu pertama kali Presiden SBY mengunjungi Timor Leste sebagai Presiden, dimana sebelumnya SBY pernah mengemban tugas negara di dunia militer hampir selama 5 tahun, termasuk menjadi Komandan Batalyon Infanteri 744 di tahun 1986-1988. --- Today, Ten Years Ago.. On April 8th 2005, President SBY paid a State Visit to Timor Leste, and was warmly welcomed by the President of the Republic of Timor Leste - Mr. Xanana Gusmao, Timor Leste's Prime Minister Marie Alkatiri and Timor Leste's Minister of Foreign Affairs - Mr. Jose Ramos Horta to discuss bilateral relationship between the two countries. This visit became so special, because this was the first visit made by President SBY as a President to Timor Leste, whereas SBY was previously assigned for a state duty in the military for almost 5 years, including as the Commander of 744 Infantry Battalion in 1986-1988.
