Aras, 12, and his family live in Khanke Camp, where they have taken up temporary residence after a long and dangerous journey through the Sinjar Mountains. Last summer, in scorching heat, Aras and his family traveled for 7 days through the mountains with no food or water other than what they could carry on the night they fled the violence that engulfed their home. They reached safety in the Kurdistan Region of #Iraq and started on the road to recovery. Thanks to #UNICEF Iraq for the photo.
